Yannis Galitis

Yannis Galitis

Yannnis Galitis, young talented composer, guitarist, studied music composition at the National Music Conservatory of Athens. Since 2002 he is composing contemporary repertory music for chamber & guitar orchestras and theater plays. Many of his works were recorded and broadcasted by greek public television and played during greek and foreign festivals. He was a long time music teacher in several athenian high schools and since 2014 he is directing the Music Festival, the Municipal Choir and the local Music Conservatory of Konitsa City. He is the cofounder of the greek Guitarte Ensemble.

Honored with the Botsis Foundation's Journalism Promotion Award for his research on trafficking in women, as well as by the Albanian National Reconciliation Foundation, for his coverage of bloody vendettas in northern Albania.
